About the Founder: Uzair Shaikh

Born and raised in the vibrant heart of Mumbai, I grew up in a large, middle-class family, I learned early on the value of hard work and resourcefulness. We always had enough to be comfortable, but never enough to be complacent. That foundation of grit followed me to Pune, where I earned my Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Pune University.

Driving Growth: From a Small Team to 100

My journey in the US construction sector was defined by rapid responsibility. I joined a Texas based subcontracting firm as the 3rd employee and as the company scaled to nearly 100 employees within just three years, I was entrusted with the highest levels of operational and financial responsibility.

During this period of hyper growth, we secured $40 million in contracts in a single year. I am particularly proud to have personally estimated and priced the $15 million Rebuild by Design Hudson River project, a landmark infrastructure initiative that required rigorous technical precision.

Core Expertise & Operational Leadership

As the company grew, my role expanded from technical estimation to building the systems that allowed the business to function at scale. My expertise covers three critical pillars:

1. Strategic Estimating & Financials

Comprehensive Estimating & Costing: Leading bid strategies and high stakes takeoffs for the US market.

Change Order: Identifying change order, make a backup file for it and getting it approved by the General Contractor and Owner.

Procurement and Vendor relations: Optimizing budgets and material sourcing to maximize project profitability. Also, co ordinating with domestic and international vendors for product fabrication and delivery.

Project Management & Budgeting: Maintaining strict fiscal control throughout the project lifecycle.

2. Systems & Digital Transformation

SOP & Process Design: I created the foundational processes for multiple departments to ensure the company could handle its growing workload seamlessly.

Tech Development: For my Boss I also lead the design and testing of a custom Odoo based construction ERP. Working with developers in Pune, I am building the digital tools necessary to modernize project management and procurement for my boss.

Talent Management: Led the candidate evaluation and selection process for specialized positions such as Estimators, Procurement and Project Managers,

3. Execution & Technical Oversight

Shop Drawing Reviews and Value Engineering : Collaborated with the design team to identify value engineering opportunities. Conducted reviews of shop drawings prior to client submission to ensure technical accuracy and specification compliance.

Installation Scheduling: Coordinating with field installers to ensure projects stay on track and within budget.
